France - Latvia ( Eurobasket 2013 )

france latvia eurobasket 2013 pick tip and prediction
Yesterday we watched great games. After such tough, head to head match ups, today's schedule is kind of weak. The spreads are relatively high, so instead of focusing them, my primary choice is going to be the game between France and Latvia. France was trailed by Lithuania two days ago whereas Latvia as expected crushed Ukraine in the first games of this round. Both teams have great chance to qualify towards the quarter finals; however, whether or not they wish to be allocated at seed 3 or seed 4 is the question that arises here.

Since teams are set to drawn in cross order with the qualifying teams of the other group, ending the group stage at 3rd or 4th place could make a huge difference. This could be a purely a choice of preference which we can never know. Latvia has its last game against Belgium, whereas France will have to face Serbia as the final encounter of this group stage. Latvia could pretty much seal its own destiny, but to make a choice of an opponent in quarter finals, France might have to challenge Serbia. That's why I think France is expected to take this Latvia match up very seriously.

I've watched France against Lithuania. Despite the great athleticism of French players, Lithuania was just too go to be faced as a team. The best example I can think of was Mindaugas Kuzminskas. He averaged only 0.8 ppg until yesterday in the tournament, but he scored in double digits against France. Renaldas Seibutis was probably the X factor who came off the bench and scored 15 points. For France, in contrast, Tony Parker wasn't in his best day, being able to score only 11 points.

Latvia is an impressive team. They have both great outside threats and decent guards who could execute good pick and roll offense with front court players. With the efficient combination of those factors, Latvia easily crushed Ukraine, already in the first half. Today, on the other hand, things might not happen in a similar manner.  Almost entire France rotation consists of players with great athleticism as well as very quick hands. They recorded 6 steals and 7 blocks as a team against Lithuania. (Those figures are only 5 and 1 for Lithuania respectively) So, I'm sure they don't let Latvia to play pick and roll offense as smooth as they did against Ukraine. France is supposed to bounce back after such a heavy loss. The spread for the half time is pretty nice.

Pick: France Half Time -5.0 @ 1.90 bet365

Good luck and happy betting!!!
