Croatia - Georgia ( Eurobasket 2013 )

Georgia Croatia eurobasket 2013 picks and predictions
The first day of the tournament was somewhat painful. Not only heavy favorites suffered shocking defeats but also underdogs showed great resistance and managed to stay within the handicaps. Fortunately, our record was 2/2 which was quite okey when compared to others who lost a lot due to these surprises. Anyway, the second day has again many games from which we should find something to make profit with.

At this point, I'll go for once again Caucasian guys. As I stated yesterday, Georgia was well prepared prior to this tournament. Even the exhibition games were given a serious importance as their head coach preferred mostly a tight rotation. In fact, he collected the fruits of it when Georgia crashed Poland in the first game of the group stage. This time, they'll face another opponent which is also crucial for a possible qualification to the next round.

Croatia was another team which I had the chance to watch closely in last August. The roster on the paper is full of talent, but they are obviously lack of a chemistry. It feels like once they are trailed, they don't give a shit anything to come back. Luka Zoric, Ante Tomic, Damir Markota, Luksa Andric inside the area and Bojan Bogdanovic, Roko Ukic, Dontaye Draper outside the perimeter are all known names but they are completely useless unless united properly. Yesterday, they scored only 40 points against strong Spain where Croatians only scored 3 points in the final quarter. What a shame !!!

Georgia, on the other hand, comfortably trailed Poland with Victor Sanikidze and Manuchar Markoishvili leading the way. Their bench contribution as we guessed was quite insignificant, but to be honest, they didn't need that at all. It was a decisive victory Georgia Achieved which resets the balances of Group C.

Today's spread is just as appealing as yesterday's. As I said in the previous analysis, Georgia team at some point will suffer serious exhaustiveness. They are lucky, though, that the fixture is on their side as well. They've already beaten Poland and if they manage to defeat Croatia as well, Georgia is more than half way through to the next stage. I believe Georgia still has enough gasoline in their tank to go forward, they should!
