Belgium - Serbia ( Eurobasket 2013 )

belgium serbia eurobasket 2013 pick and prediction
With tons of surprises and some spectacular results having occurred, the first stage of Eurobasket 2013 Slovenia came to an end. Today, the second stage begins with the first match up between Belgium and Serbia. The first time participant Belgium achieved a great surprise by reaching to the second round even though it's quite debatable whether or not Belgium should be given credit for their efforts or this success could be attributed to the poor form of the opponents in their group. One way or another, they've come that far and it's time to face real, strong opponents. Serbia is the first one that they'll be seeking to prevail against.

Serbia began the preparations with many of their expected names missing mostly due to injuries. Mainly Milos Teodosic was hoped until the deadline for the rosters to be submitted, but Serbia needed to move on without him because he couldn't overcome his injury problems. It's still a great discussion if Serbia missed his absence, but at the end they reached to the second round as expected. Serbia lost its last game against Montenegro. During this game, veterans Nenad Krstic and Stefan Markovic were rested.

Belgium on the other hand didn't have such luxury, so all their players were given minutes in spite of they lost their last game against strong France. It's quite a luck that with just two victories achieved, Belgium players found themselves in the second round. Although they did put a lot of heart and did display some strong performances against the opponents of equal strength, Belgium was heavily trashed by Israel and France, the teams with decent quality and talented rotations.

I believe this is only as far as the trio of Tabu, Hervelle and Van Rossom could take Belgium.  Teams will play only 3 games each in this stage, so every team is supposed to take necessary precautions to avoid any surprises. When we look at all the games Serbia played in the previous round, They trailed their opponents already in the first half, except the match up with Macedonia. ( At that game, Nenad Krstic didn't play ). I expect a similar scenario taking place against Belgium as well. This is also good as we avoid to take position against double digit spread. A double digit Serbia lead is exactly what i'm hoping for here.

Pick : Serbia Half Time -6.0 @ 1.90 bet365

Good luck and happy betting!!!
