Olympiakos - Anadolu Efes ( 2nd game )

Olympiakos Anadolu Efes 12 april 2013 second game pick
Olympiakos and Anadolu Efes are facing each other once again in Peace and Friendship arena in Piraeus. The first game between those teams ended with home side Olympiakos victory by 67-62 score at the end. Home side took advantage of their home court advantage properly without making any mistakes prior to the road games. Tonight, they'll aim to repeat it again.

The game took place just the way as expected. Olympiakos Piraeus led the entire game in scoring while Anadolu Efes managed to follow them closely as well. As far as I remember, the highest difference between the teams was 9 points which occurred twice; once in the middle of the second quarter and once towards the end of third quarter. However, in both circumstances, Anadolu Efes head coach Oktay Mahmudi interfered well to the game by his timeouts and sustained the chase. Giorgios Printezis probably played his career game in Euroleague scoring well over 20 points. More remarkably, he made more than 3 3pts field goals in a game for the first time in his 127 games Euroleague career. Meanwhile, Kerem Gonlum who came off the bench was the leading scorer of Anadolu Efes with his 17 points.

Anadolu Efes team performed terribly behind the arc. They shot 1/19 as a team in 3pts range. It was such a disappointing performance such that no team could achieve a victory with. No matter what competition a team plays either in Euroleague or in elsewhere, it's almost impossible to defeat any opponent given a team shoots so poorly from the distance. Other than that, I think Anadolu Efes played quite okey provided that they were on the road.

Today, the spread is similar to what was revealed before the first game. I expect just another low scoring head to head game with a lot of tactical battle between the coaches. There is no way Anadolu Efes team could shoot any worse than they already did. One other positive thing was the amount of minutes Sascha Vujacic received. He played 27 minutes which was excellent in his struggle of restoring his confidence. Today, I trust the spread more than I did 2 days ago. Even an away win doesn't surprise me at all, but let's just stay in the safe side again.

Pick: Anadolu Efes +6.5 @ 1.90
Stake: 10/10

Good luck and happy betting!

  2. Yeah, I feel you dude.

My original expectation was Anadolu Efes winning this one but losing the next one when they play at home. But, it just didn't happen that way.

I'm pretty busy nowadays, so i had to skip today's games :( I hope i continue writing for tomorrow though.
