Galatasaray - Fenerbahce

Galatasaray Medical Park Fenerbahce Ulker pick
I've been pretty busy recently, so i kind of ignored these pages nowadays. Too bad, I had to skip saturday games, so  let's concentrate on what is scheduled for sunday. Certainly, the best match up of today's schedule is between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce. Due to the 2 game suspension of Galatasaray Medical Park received as a result of the riots occurred in Pinar Karsiyaka game, they won't be having proper fan support. Instead, the game is set to be available only for women and children younger than 14 years old with tickets being free of charge. However, it's still a derby, so this game is a candidate to be a full of excitement.

Galatasaray Medical Park is currently leading the league where they suffered only 3 defeats so far. They have been winning 10+ games in a row. Last week, in a road match up which might have been tough for them, they defeated Tofas comfortably, leading the entire game. They played without point guard Jamont Gordon;however, his absence didn't matter much to Galatasaray team. Unlike Galatasaray, Fenerbahce Ulker was at home, hosting the weakest side of the league Hacettepe University. Fenerbahce Ulker surprisingly had quite hard time securing the victory in a game which was supposed to be a piece of a cake for them. Fenerbahce Ulker only managed to clinch victory with 81-76 score. Bo McCalebb and David Andersen didn't play in that match up due to injuries.

Prior to the game, I must say I'm a bit surprised by the odds. The spread is much lower than I expected. Perhaps, I'm overconfident or misguided. I can just think of the effect of home court suspension Galatasaray Medical Park team has to suffer as the reason behind this spread. Home side is in much better shape and I consider them being a clear favourites here. In fact, the difficulty Fenerbahce Ulker had against Hacettepe University a week ago, wasn't a surprise at all. Fenerbahce Ulker head coach Ertugrul Erdogan is far from being an upgrade after Simone Pianigiani. In my opinion, he's a very weak tactician, so he doesn't stand a chance against Ergin Ataman in such a tense game. Despite the latest statuses of Jamont Gordon, Bo McCalebb and David Andersen being uncertain, I'm confident on home side victory here by covering the spread as well.

Pick: Galatasaray Medical Park -4.5 @ 1.88
Stake: 8/10

Good luck and happy betting!
