Pinar Karsiyaka - Paris Levallois ( 3rd match )

Pinar Karsiyaka Paris Levallois 3rd game 19 march 2013 pick
Pinar Karsiyaka and Paris Levallois face each other for the decisive game of Eurochallenge quarter finals. In the first match up, Pinar Karsiyaka lost miserably at its home ground last week whereas They managed to achieve a victory against absent Levallois rotatioin in Paris and took the series to the final game of the match up to be scheduled tonight. Winning side will make their way to Eurochallenge 2012-2013 season final four today.

Pinar Karsiyaka suffered a disappointing defeat last week. Although they controlled the entire game and led the scoring aroun 39 minutes, Pinar Karsiyaka back court players were unable to inbound the ball after head coach Ufuk Sarica's timeout and gave away the possession. Paris Levallois players stole the ball, penetrated towards the hoop and drew the foul. Two free throws put Paris Levallois at the lead in the final 15 seconds. Since they defended well the last Pinar Karsiyaka offense, visitors achieved an important victory last week. Sean May sprained his ankle in the very beginnin of the second half and he didn't resume playing in Izmir.

In the fatal return leg, Pinar Karsiyaka was hosted in Paris 4 days ago. Visitors led the entire game and won the match up in order to take series once againt to Izmir for the 3rd game. For some ridiculous reason, there wasn't any live television coverage available, so noone but those living in Paris was able to watch the game. However, there were certain points which were observable with or without television coverage provided. Sean May who was injured in the first game couldn't make it to that game. So, Sean May's absence added up with Jawad Williams' long injury made it possible for Pinar Karsiyaka to exploit great opportunities in the paint. In fact, Pinar Karsiyaka front court duo William Thomas and Alade Aminu both scored over 20 points each in the game. More remarkably, Aminu played with 11/14 FG while William Thomas was even more efficient with 10/11 FG inside the paint. With the absolute dominance of those guys under the rim, Pinar Karsiyaka led the entire game and won the match up by 66-72 at the end.

Today's final battle is a candidate to be just as exciting as the previous two match ups. Long injured Jawad Williams is finally back. Last saturday, he played 32 minutes against Le Havre in French Basketball League. Sean May was rested in the same game. Both of those guys are expected to play tonight against Pinar Karsiyaka. Sean May averaged 19.6 ppg and 7.8 rpg in Eurochallenge this season. Jawad Williams' average figures are 16.3 ppg and 5.7 rpg in the same period. Thus, their return is clearly of a huge factor for Paris Levallois squad.

I expect a very intense match up whose fate is highly likely to be determined in clutch times. Once again the spread on behalf of visitors is of great value to me. Pinar Karsiyaka defeated Paris with only 6 points margin in the absence of those important guys. They are still a much better team when playing at home, but i still don't find them heavily dominating Paris Levallois team today given the nature of this final battle.

Pick: Paris Levallois +8.0 @ 1.88
Stake: 8/10
